Frequently asked questions

How is this different from port forwarding?

No open ports on your router, no static IP, no ISP NAT issues. The client dials out; traffic comes in through the Cloud2Hide edge with TLS and a firewall in front.

Can I run it next to my existing WireGuard/VPN setup?

Yes. The client uses no fixed local ports and no privileged ports; it coexists with other tunnels.

What happens when I hit the traffic limit?

Free plan: new traffic is blocked until next month (you get an email at 90%). Pro/Premium: traffic keeps flowing, overage billed at $0.10/GB.

Do you see my traffic?

Connection metadata only (who, when, how much, result). Never payloads, never credentials. Retention: 1–10 days live per plan, Premium adds a 30-day archive with masked IPs.

Where are the servers?

EU-FI region today; more regions are coming.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, on Premium: add your domain to an HTTPS Service and point a CNAME at its generated name — TLS is issued and renewed automatically. TCP/UDP services can already point their own DNS at the generated name.

How is traffic encrypted?

WireGuard layer-3 tunnel between your machine and the edge, plus TLS on every HTTPS service. TLS certs are issued and renewed automatically.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes; plan changes apply immediately, prorated. Downgrades keep your services running where limits allow.
